Sample Make Up work -- Art History -- a class where you will develop a way of thinking and looking for details, as well as discover what deduction reasoning is, and how it applies to art.  In addition, you will learn what the artist's intention is, and perhaps you might imagine you are the artist and what would you want to express in the art.   In other words, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and thoughts, which in turn will enhance your English skills in writing and reading.

Your teachers are enthusiastic and are looking forward to building your confidence, stamina, and language.   Let's do an example:  Look at the art below and think about the following questions:  Brainstorm your answers (hint - take a risk - there is no wrong answer).

Who do you see?

What is she doing?

Where do you think she is?  What makes you say that?  (Hint:  This is an example of using deduction reasoning -- making an educated guess by using what you already know to what you see (or imagine) what is in front of you?

Does this have an effect on what is going on in the picture?

Why do you think the artist painted the picture the way it is presented?
