Meet Mr. DJ!

Welcome to Mr. Djamaliddinov’s Online Page! I am excited to get to know each of you this semester and to support you throughout your learning journey.

A little about me: I am a Social Studies teacher at Liberty High School. While I may be your teacher this semester, Liberty is also home to me because I graduated from Liberty HS in 2016. After graduating, I attended Hunter College, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Teaching. I later completed my Master’s degree in Special Education, and I am currently working toward my Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership.

I have taught United States History, Global History, and Participation in Government. This semester, I am teaching Economics, Introduction to Computer Science: Python, and U.S. History. In addition to teaching, I also coach the robotics team after school on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

I immigrated from Uzbekistan and moved to the United States in 2012. As someone who has experienced starting over in a new country, I understand some of the challenges that come with adjusting to a new environment. I love learning about history, and in my free time, I enjoy working with robotics.

I want all of my students to know that I am here to help you grow, learn, and succeed this semester. Please do not hesitate to reach out whenever you need support. I can be reached at ZDjamaliddinov2@schools.nyc.gov or visit me in Room 309.

Why is studying HISTORY is important?
