Reminders:

1) Evening Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 16th from 4:30-7:30p.

2) Afternoon parent-teacher conferences will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2023 from 12:20p-2:20p.

Meet Mr. Casiano, ENL Teacher

  

It is my pleasure to welcome you to my page. I teach ENL 1 at Liberty High School Academy for Newcomers. This is my 6th year serving English language learners. I earned my dual certification in ELA and ENL from CUNY Hunter College. 

My family is from Puerto Rico. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I speak English and Spanish. You are welcome to communicate with me in any language. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. More importantly, I love my students. My teaching philosophy is centered on being culturally responsive and meeting the needs of all our linguistically diverse students. My goal, every year, is to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.
